Frozen waffles sold at Publix, Target, Walmart, other stores recalled over listeria risk

If they wish to receive a refund, they can return the product to the store where they purchased it.  </p><p>If you have any further questions, you may contact the company at 800-596-2903 Monday through Friday at 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT.  </p><h2>What is listeria? </h2><p><a href="https://www.cdc.gov/listeria/signs-symptoms/index.html">Listeria</a> is a foodborne bacterial illness that can be very harmful for pregnant people, newborns, older adults, and people who are immunosuppressed, the <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)</a> said.  </p><p>The CDC said that Listeria infections are the <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/listeria/about/index.html">third leading cause of death from a foodborne illness</a> in the United States. </p><p>Invasive (spread beyond the intestines) symptoms are:  </p><ul>Fever Flu-like symptoms, such as muscle aches and fatigue Headache Stiff neck Confusion Loss of balance </ul><p>The government agency said that invasive illness symptoms usually appear two weeks after consuming foods that are contaminated with listeria. </p><p>Intestinal symptoms are:    </p><ul>Diarrhea  Vomiting  </ul><p>Ahjané Forbes is a reporter on the National Trending Team at USA TODAY.
